We offer an extensive timetable of dance classes suited to students at all levels of ability. These classes are given under direction of the principle, Ann Hallett along with her hand-picked team of highly trained teachers.

Examinations are given in association with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). Both of which are globally recognized.

Uniforms and leotards can be purchased from the school. Please speak to a member of staff for further information as uniforms are compulsory for all dance classes. Optional branded clothing is available here.

Bedfordshire School of Dance & Drama - Performance Weekend February 2016

Our specialized ballet classes for children aged 3 and 4 are a great way for young children to learn basic ballet steps in a fun and friendly environment.

Classes are based on acting stories and accompanied by a pianist. This helps to develop musical and rhythmic awareness. These stimulating classes also strengthen their confidence and social skills.

We offer a full programme of grade classes:

RAD Ballet classes from Primary to Grade 8
ISTD Modern theatre dance from Primary to Grade 6
ISTD Tap dance from Primary to Grade 6

Children are encouraged to progress through the examination systems. We strongly recommend all modern and tap students take a weekly ballet class to maintain and develop strength and flexibility.

For students taking a more serious approach we provide vocational classes. These range from intermediate foundation to advanced level.

Students can earn UCAS points through successful examinations in these classes. They are a great starting place for those wishing to pursue a career in dance or theatre.
